Academic Entry Requirement The minimum academic requirement for entry to a Master of Engineering (Research) is a Bachelor degree with honours in a related discipline completed within the last ten years with a weighted average mark of 65 or above. An applicant may be considered for entry with an overall weighted average mark below 65 if their weighted average mark in the final full year (FTE) of study is 65 or above. The minimum academic requirement for transfer to the Master of Engineering (Research) from a Master of Engineering (Coursework) at La Trobe University is the completion of 60 credit points in the first semester of full-time enrolment (or part-time equivalent) with a weighted average mark of 70 or above. Note: Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.
