Academic Requirements: (1) To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have— (a) a bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification as recognised by UWA: and (b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 percent, taken from the most recent degree of at least one year full-time duration. (2) Students must obtain a current National Police Certificate, National Criminal History Check or equivalent certification from country of residence, indicating no criminal conviction. The currency of a National Police Certificate or a National Criminal History Check is 12 months. Ranking and Selection Process Where relevant, admission will be awarded to the highest ranked applicants or applicants selected based on— (a) the admission requirements under Rule 4; and (a) a satisfactory personal statement, as recognised by UWA; and (b) the intake quota for that year. Important admission information Ensure you have submitted a one-page personal statement outlining your motivation to become a Clinical Audiologist Ensure you have met the English Language Competence requirement for this course. Please be aware there are higher requirements for international students for this course. Applications must be submitted by 31 October of the year prior to admission Ranking information Applicants will be ranked for admission based on their weighted average mark and personal statement. For applicants with multiple tertiary qualifications, the WAM from the most recent completed qualification of at least one year duration will be used. For applicants currently studying their first bachelor’s degree, the WAM from all bachelor studies completed up to the end of October will be used. Important note for overseas and interstate students To enrol in this course, you must be able to attend in person. This course has a requirement for campus-based or in-person activities that cannot be offered online. English Requirements: Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) - Minimum grade of 180 with no band less than 170 Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) - Minimum grade of 180 with no band less than 170 GCE A-level - Minimum grade E in English Language, English Literature or English Language and Literature. IELTS (Academic) - , a minimum overall score 7.0 with no band less than 7.0. International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) - English A1 at HL or SL - Minimum score 4, English A2 at HL or SL - Minimum score 4, English B at HL - Minimum score 5. PTE (Academic) an overall score of 65 with a minimum score of 65 each section. TOEFL (iBT) 94 with a minimum score of 27 in iBT Writing, 23 in iBT speaking and no less than 24 in the other sections.
