This bachelor qualification develops comprehensive undergraduate knowledge in engineering and the built environment, combining theory, applied projects, and professional preparation for graduate employment or further study.
Entry is available to applicants who hold one of the following, completed within the last 10 years: 1. Secondary Education Route: Completion of Year 12 (Australian Senior Certificate of Education or equivalent) with a pass (or satisfactory achievement) in a relevant mathematics subject (e.g., General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics). 2. Other Qualifications : Completion of a relevant engineering AQF Certificate III or above, or an overseas qualification equivalent to an AQF Cert III or above, in a relevant engineering discipline. 3. Mature Age / Alternative Pathway Route: Applicants who have not completed recent secondary education or an AQF Cert III qualification or above may still be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent numeracy and communication skills through one or more of the following: Completion of bridging courses. Performance in a diagnostic assessment, e.g., mathematics diagnostic test. Relevant prior work experience in engineering related roles (minimum 3 years) completed within the last 10 years. English Language Proficiency Requirements: Entry to this course requires demonstration of English language proficiency at the level of an IELTS overall score of at least 6.0 (with no individual band score less than 5.5) The methods of satisfying this English language proficiency requirements are through (but not limited to): An Australian Senior Certificate of Education or equivalent. A specified level of achievement in a recognized English language test, such as IELTS (or equivalent). Satisfactory completion of another tertiary course offered in English. Work history in an organization where English is the language of communication. NOTE : All CRICOS applicants from non-English speaking countries (as determined by the Australian Department of Home Affairs) are required to provide results from a recognized language test such as IELTS or equivalent.
